I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in psychiatric evaluation and medication management for children, adolescents, and young adults ages 2-22.
Before becoming a psychiatric provider, I spent over six years working in pediatric primary care, where I cared for children and families with a wide range of medical, developmental, and behavioral health needs. This experience shaped my understanding that mental health concerns do not exist separately from a child's overall health, development, family, and environment.
My approach to psychiatric care is practical, collaborative, and individualized. I believe treatment works best when families feel heard, understand their options, and are active participants in decision-making. I take time to understand each child's unique strengths, challenges, and goals rather than focusing only on symptoms or diagnoses.
I have a particular interest in working with children and adolescents experiencing ADHD, anxiety, mood concerns, autism, and other forms of neurodivergence. My goal is to provide thoughtful, evidence-based care that helps children and families better understand themselves and find strategies that work in everyday life.
